Attention Drunks!

A  Romanian village town, Pecica, now has road signs warning drivers of drunk pedestrians who may be found lying in the roads. Bright red typical road signs depict a drunk on his knees brandishing a glass/bottle with the phrase “Attention Drunks”.

Apparently the levels of accidents have been such, that Pecica officials felt the need to take the radical precaution.

“We are a border town and have lots of cars thundering through here all the time,” The Pecica mayor told local media.

“But we also have a very vibrant nightlife and the two don’t mix”. He went on.

Well a big thumbs up for Romania.  Oh  and er fellow citizens of Pecica – Do get off your knees.

  1. Can’t the drunks just enjoy a few tinnies at home?

  2. Perfect! This is just what we need in our city centres up and down the land.

Ooh, ooh, I have a better idea. Maybe they should have illuminated ones in the high streets of foreign cities where the Brits go for their hen/stag nights. When the sign starts flashing at around 5pm Friday night, the residents would take it as a warning to leave town and not return until 5pm Sunday.

  3. I can see Pecica being the new tourist spot for UK drunks – a free for all – Wah Hey, I hear them shout brandishing bottles of cheap cider.

  4. *Wah Hey, I hear them shout brandishing bottles of cheap cider.*

    Taurus from Aldi, no doubt…

  5. Maybe the bloke in the sign is looking for the Italian prostitutes of May 12th post?

    • Probably. He’s got a fair distance to go from Romania tho Lol
